I have a couple customers who do not have a Big Shot or other die cutting machine who were thrilled to make a card that didn't require dies. We did use one die for the base, but that element could easily be fussy cut. This is such a fun card that could be used for a winter birthday or just a wintry note card. The card front is stamped all over using Purple Posy ink on Purple Posy card stock. Other than the "glass" globe, the rest of the stamping is done with  Highland Heather. I painted some Wink of Stella on the snowman to make him sparkle. Our world has been shrouded in cold weather and snowy landscapes, so I just had to create a winter scene. Yes, it appears the Spirited Snowmen stamp set has been discontinued, but winter is not over and I decided to use that set for one of our class cards anyway. These are long-standing customers, so they understand when I choose to use something that's been discontinued on occasion. I've seen variations of this card all over Pinterest, so I'm not sure to whom credit goes. I still haven't perfected the use of my embossing paste. I do have the decorative masks, so I'll have to play around with them and the embossing paste. But the Shimmery White Embossing Paste is perfect for snow banks. I stamped the trees in the background with Early Espresso ink. Obviously the moisture in the embossing paste caused the ink to run a little, but winter time has its muddy places anyway, so it still works. I try to provide gifts for class attendees and this is one of the easier one because it went together so quickly and so easily. These gifts also provide the opportunity to use up some discontinued products. In this case, I used Blackberry Bliss designer series paper (a color that returned to our collections) and Highland Heather. The dsp and the ribbon are retired products. I colored the snowman with my Stampin' Blends. Oh, how I've come to love those blends! Anyway, I had to fussy cut the snowman, but I actually enjoy fussy cutting. The snowman is from the "Spirited Snowmen" stamp set (8 rubber stamps, W 148075, $27; C 148072, $19.00).  This package is simply folded over candy and sealed at each end. The ribbon is wrapped around it with the stamped piece adhered over that.

Shaded Spruce is the perfect green for creations using the Winter Woods stamp set. I used Shimmery White card stock along with some Sparkle Glimmer Paper. Perfect for a snowy scene! The curves for the layers of snow are included in the Framelits Dies that go with this stamp set. I'm actually thinking of adding some Shimmery White Embossing Paste to some of the branches on my evergreen tree. I featured the Winter Woods stamp set and In the Woods framelits dies at my October stamp class. I think these are some of my favorite cards, especially the card I'm sharing today. Night of Navy has moved to our neutrals family because it works with so much! And I love the contrast with white, especially with this stamp set. This makes such a perfect winter scene that can be used for Christmas or birthdays or a note in midwinter, so I just left off a greeting. However, a banner with greeting could easily be added. To attach the vellum trees, I laid them down on my silicone craft mat and sponged the all purpose glue on their backs. The glue doesn't even show.  The Whisper White tree is cut with two separate framelits using thick card stock, although Shimmery White would have worked well, too. I dabbed some Shimmery White Embossing Paste on the tips of the branches to look like glittering snow, although the photo doesn't show the the sparkle as well as I thought it would....

Since I have the Sparkly Seasons stamp set with all the snow globe options, I just had to try to figure out if the circular dimensionals from a previous catalog would fit the snow globe image. No. Too small. But I fit the snowman from that set into a circle anyway. Took a little fussing to figure out exactly how to manage it. Used a circle hole punch for the Real Red cardstock embossed with snowflakes (retired Northern Flurry TIEF). I stamped and heat embossed (black embossing powder) the snowman on a piece of Whisper White, colored the scarf and nose with markers, adhered a circular dimensional, poured in some silver glitter and lined it up with the hole in the Real Red piece. I had to trim some of the excess off, but it worked.

This is my final card from my class featuring the Snow Way and Snow Friends stamp and framelits bundle. We made two cards using the snowmen and two cards using the Penguin. Silver Encore Ink (no longer in our catalogs), Silver Sparkle Dazzling Details and Brushed Silver cardstock (you'll have to use the silver foil in its place) contributed to the iciness of the penguin's environment. I used a Tangerine Tango Marker to color the beak and webbed feet. Really? Well, no, I'm not ready for it to snow yet, but I do love snowmen—artistically anyway. So when I spotted the "Snow Place" stamp set in the new holiday catalog, I just had to get it. Plus, it's a bundle with Framelits to cut out all the details. I'm featuring the snowmen here, but I can't wait to play around with the penguin, too. The snow drifts on this card are simply torn strips of Whisper White cardstock. I lightly sponged the ragged edges with Soft Sky to create the shadows and make the edges stand out.
