A Smaller Note

Image
I wanted a quick and easy thank you note using some of my new products. This one uses three different stamp sets, I fear, but I love them all. And I've chosen the new in-colors once again.  This is made on one of our 3½" x 5" note cards. Truth be told, I probably bought the Chalk Talk set because of this one stamp, although they're all great. [For some reason some of the script on the left side of this note doesn't show up very well, but it's there.] Products Used: Background Builders stamp set (3), W 129147, $22.95; C 129150, $16.95 Chalk Talk stamp set (6), W 130631, $25.95; C 130634, $18.95 Timeless Talk stamp set (7), W 126605, $22.95; C 126607, $16.95 Note Cards & Envelopes (20), 131527, $5.95 Crisp Cantaloupe Classic Stampin' Pad, 131176, $5.95 Pistachio Pudding Classic Stampin' Pad, 131177, $5.95 1-3/8" circle punch, 119860, $15.95 Chalk Talk Framelits (7), 129983, $24.95

Something Old, Something New...

Image
In the throes of reorganizing my stamping area, sorting through papers, etc. Can't seem to leave some of these old designer papers alone! And this card also includes our old grosgrain Whisper White ribbon. But I used a brand new stamp set (Timeless Talk) that I just love! This card is done in Blushing Bride and Whisper White. I love the new brad base with its candy dot that sits on top of it. Just seemed to fit this image perfectly. I also used one of the new Chalk Talk Framelits. Sorry my scanner skewed the image. Maybe it's the brad that throws it off—it's certainly not me! ☺

Gingham Cheer

Image
I just love the Gingham Garden Suite! And as I begin to play with various elements in it, I find I just keep loving it more and more. These two cards turned out to be so cheerful that I'm not sure I'm ready to part with them by giving them away. I had seen something similar that inspired these cards. When I decided to color the Wildflower Meadow stamp and cut out elements of it, I figured I might as well do the whole stamp. Of course, one section of the flowers is taller than the other, which meant the cards had to go in different directions, but I just love the way they turned out. I just can't say which one I like more. I set the scene, so to speak, with the Gingham Garden Designer Washi Tape, colored and embossed the Wildfower Meadow stamp and then cut out the flowers and stems, finally attaching with Stampin' Dimensionals. You will notice I also used a stamp from our new birthday greetings set (Remembering Your Birthday), which I just love. Products Used: Rem

Introducing ... Those Luscious In-Colors!

Image
Someone on our demonstrator team said the new in-colors remind her of sherbet in a brown sugar ice cream cone. My mind immediately pictured an ice cream cone piled high with sherbet scoops using the Pennant Parade and Create a Cupcake stamp sets. And their coordinating punches made it so easy! Products Used: Pennant Parade stamp set (13), W 128697, $21.95; C 122742, $16.95 Create a Cupcake stamp set (12), W 128520, $22.95; C 121982, $16.95 Whisper White 8½" x 11" card stock (40), 100730, $8.50 Pistachio Pudding 8½" x11" card stock (24), 131294, $6.95 Baked Brown Sugar 8½" x 11" card stock (24), 131296, $6.95 Crisp Cantaloupe 8½" x 11" card stock (24), 131298, $6.95 Baked Brown Sugar Classic Stampin' Pad, 131174, $5.95 Coastal Cabana Classic Stampin'Pad, 131175, $5.95 Crisp Cantaloupe Classic Stampin' Pad, 131176, $5.95 Pistachio Pudding Classic Stampin' Pad, 131177, $5.95 Strawberry Slush Classic Stampin' Pad, 1

Hello

Image
Why is it I always get sidetracked. I entered my stamping room to make a card I had designed in my head using the new family of in colors. However, I had to make a baby card and in the process decided I had to find a design for another piece of paper from the Comfort Cafe Designer Series Paper. This is the result. The only colors are Cajun Craze and Very Vanilla. The lace is continued, but the button is new. Products Used: Friendship Preserves stamp set (4), W 131919, $21.95; C 127913, $16.95 Very Vanilla 8½" x 11" card stock (40), 101650, $8.50 Cajun Craze 8½" x 11" card stock (24), 119684, $6.95 Comfort Cafe 12" x 12" designer series paper, discontinued Victoria Crochet Trim (5 yards), 118481, $6.95 Very Vintage Designer Buttons (24), $5.95 Window Frames Collection Framelits (6), 129021, $26.95

Baby Card

Image
Our assistant pastor's wife just gave birth to a baby boy. Of course, that means a baby card. Now, I don't have a lot of baby stamps because at my age I don't expect to make a lot of them. Then again, I'm finding that being active in my church means I still need to make them on occasion. And, too, I have friends who are becoming grandmas for the first time or once again. This card is made with leftover Comfort Cafe Designer Series Paper as well as some leftover Pool Party ribbon. The stamp and coordinating punch are new, but the baby onesie is part of the Baby Tees jumbo wheel. Since the wheel made several different suits, I made a stack of cards using up more of the retired dsp.  The "congratulations" is from the Delightful Dozen set but is stamped with our new Baked Brown Sugar In Color.

Oh, That Print Poetry Designer Series Paper Stack!

Image
While I was making large cards, I decided the one from my previous post was quite feminine and that I needed to make one that would be more suitable for a man. This is what I came up with using the Print Poetry Designer Series Paper Stack from the spring seasonal catalog, which retired May 31st.  Both the stamps I used on this card are long discontinued, as is the button. But the Modern Mosaic embossing folder is new. The base card is one full sheet of Very Vanilla card stock folded in half.

Such Pretty Paper

Image
I recently covered a few more cans with designer series paper, cans for storing my loose tea. I chose some of my prettiest but retired dsp for the task and now I can't put away the scraps without using them! In fact, the sheet of paper used in these cards was the reason I purchased the Berry Blossoms pack of dsp in the first place! I designed the first card and then decided I liked it so much, I decided I would make a large card for use in our ABF (Adult Bible Fellowship). As part of my ministry, I make cards we can pass around for everyone to sign when one of our members is ill or has lost a loved one or whatever. I'm showing both here. The Bible verse is from a stamp set we carried a number of years ago. I never get rid of my Scripture stamps. you wouldn't know from the way these cards come through that the bottom one is made with one full sheet of Wisteria Wonder card stock while the top one is the usual half sheet! Wisteria Wonder card stock is now one of our

For the Father of my Children

Image
I can't believe it's Father's Day weekend already and that we have just three more weeks until we leave for vacation! Yesterday I went into my little craft room with a design in mind for Bob's card but discovered I never ordered the hexagon punch that I had planned to use. So... I still used the paper I was going to punch and scatter in the depressions from the Honeycomb Embossing Folder, but cut it in a strip instead. This paper is from the Print Poetry Designer Series Paper Stack that was in the now-expired Spring seasonal catalog. My button is also retired, I fear. And so is the stamp set I used (Best Dad Ever). I love this stamp set. The fonts are bold and perfect for masculine cards, be it "thinking of you", "BEST DAD EVER", "happy birthday", or "HAPPY FATHER'S DAY". The Crumb Cake card stock and Print Poetry dsp were partnered with Midnight Muse strips of card stock and Very Vanilla. At first I tied the Linen Thread in a

Delightful Garden Card

Image
When I started out to make this card this morning, I had an idea in mind that changed completely. I was going to use the sketch challenge from Splitcoast Stampers but ended up using the color challenge. I just love this card, although I'm not sure how many copies I would make since it required a lot of cutting with my paper snips. And all products used in this card are current! Products Used Stippled Blossoms stamp set (10), W 132076, $26.95; C 126747, $18.95 Perfectly Penned stamp set (4), W 128703, $16.95; C 122892, $12.95 Very Vanilla 8½" x 11" card stock (40), 101650, $8.50 Pear Pizzazz 8½" x 11" card stock (24), 131266, $6.95 Gingham Garden 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper (12 double-sided sheets), 129310, $10.95 Pear Pizzazz Classic Stampin' Pad, 131180, $5.95 Old Olive Classic Stampin' Pad, 126953, $5.95 Daffodil Delight Classic Stampin' Pad, 126944, $5.95 Crushed Curry Classic Stampin' Pad, 131173, $5.95 Pearl Basic

DSP & Embossing Folder

Image
When I pulled out this beautiful piece of designer series paper, I didn't realize it was from the catalog before last! I loved "Beyond the Garden" but apparently thought I'd save it for something special. Well, now that I've been trying to use up so many of my outdated products, one sheet of it gets to be featured! I combined it with the coordinating "Flower Garden" embossing folder  and Wild Wasabi card stock. The gorgeous ribbon is from the now-expired spring mini catalog. I whipped up these three cards this morning before exercising (even though I had vowed to exercise and shower before I did any playing).  Notice that on the above card I embossed small pieces that I added to the card. On the card below, I mistakenly used Gumball Green card stock, but it looks fine, just a little brighter.  I had fun doing the final card. After embossing the Wild Wasabi card stock, I cut it out, even trimming off the top flower and adding it separately to my ca

Still Playing

Image
I'm still playing around with scraps of designer paper that are no longer available.  I hope my designs still inspire you with yours. After all, there is always some similarity in designer prints. This one is a small print from Print Poetry Designer Series Paper Stack, discontinued. But the stamps and colors I used are still available in the new core catalog. I have to admit that I really hate the Summer Starfruit color and avoid using it. However, I figured I could use it here because the Soft Suede layer would soften its appearance. My upline, however, loves the color, so I guess I can't complain too much. Current Products Used: Stippled Blossoms stamp set (10), W 132076, $26.95; C 126747, $18.95 Trust God stamp set (7), W 132094, $19.95; C 126702, $14.95 Very Vanilla 8½"x 11" card stock (40), 101650, $8.50 Gumball Green 8½" x 11" card stock (24), 126840, $6.95 Gumball Green Classic Stampin' Pad, 126861, $5.95 Summer Starfruit Classic Stampin&

More Print Poetry DSP

Image
I bought the Print Poetry Designer Series Paper Stack especially for the background of this card, but I fear I purchased the paper stack near the end of the Spring Mini Catalog. That means I'm just beginning to use the paper even though it's no longer available (unless it's on the clearance rack; I haven't checked). Anyway, I think this card would be just as suitable for a man as for a woman. I used the new Artisan Label Punch and an image from the new Label Love stamp set to make this card. All the designer papers are from the aforementioned paper stack. The card is Crumb Cake, as is the now-retired button.

More of the Old

Image
I was reluctant to share this card because I feared it was a little too busy. However, I showed it to a friend and customer last night and she liked it, so here it is. Of course, it uses mostly retired items - the First Edition and Twitterpated Designer Series papers as well as the Riding Hood Red pleated ribbon and Baja Breeze card stock and ink. And the flower on the bottom was stamped with the flowers from Language of Friendship, also retired, and then punched with the Boho Blossoms punch, which is still available.  I hope you like it.

Poetry and Tea

Image
Tea Shoppe is one stamp set I am not parting with, even though there is another tea stamp set in the new catalog. I just love this one. And, as much as I love the Print Poetry Designer Series Paper Stack in the spring mini catalog, I haven't used it because I've been trying to use up so much of my retiring supplies. This card came together quickly and I just love it. The only new item on this card is the Very Vintage Designer Button. Products Used: Tea Shoppe stamp set, retiring after today Print Poetry Designer Series Paper Stack, retiring after today Primrose Petals 8½" x 11" card stock (24), 126842, $6.95 Very Vanilla 8½" x 11" card stock (40), 101650, $8.50 Primrose Petals Classic Stampin' Pad, 126858, $5.95 Gumball Green Classic Stampin' Pad, 126861, $5.95 Modern Label punch, 119849, $16.95 Very Vintage Designer Buttons (24), 129327, $5.95 Linen Thread (15 yards), 129287 Window Frame Collection Framelits (6), $26.95
