Flowering Fields Stamp Set

The last couple weeks have been rather busy. My brother-in-law has been in hospice and my brother came to stay with me four days so he could visit Danny. Timing was good because Danny went home to be with his Lord and Savior yesterday morning at 6 AM.

But I want to share some of the cards we made at my recent class. I wasn't sure about this card when I first made it, but once I stepped back from it I fell in love with it. By stamping the leafy stems in the background, stamping off as well so they wouldn't be too dark, and then adding the other flower stems over the top, I came up with a field of wildflowers above the Wildflower Fields dsp. Admittedly, the Lost Lagoon ribbon is from last year's catalog, but I have two spools of it and really prefer it to this year's offerings. I did color the multi-colored stamps with markers before stamping.

This stamp set and its coordinating paper are available through the Sale-a-Bration catalog, which expires March 31st. You can "purchase" one item in the catalog for free with every $50 of purchase.
