My Brother's Birthday
My brother is travelling home to Indiana after a long weekend visit here in Canandaigua. Enjoyed our visit so much! Lots of reminiscing, lots of sharing, lots of discussions about the Bible, lots of shared concerns for our sister who is dying of cancer. He is very disciplined as he fights for his health after an extended stay in the hospital due to bleeding varicese in his esophagus. Would love to have him move closer, especially since our other sister also lives in Canandaigua, but it's hard to move away from the doctors who know his case so well.
Anyway, we got to celebrate his birthday this weekend. The the birthday card I made him is in honor of our Scottish heritage (our Grandpa Wallace came over from Scotland as a young adult). I remember seeing a card similar to this on someone's blog back at Christmas time. I have to admit that I purchased this stamp set (Nature's Pace) simply because of the Scottish thistle, although the staff of music for my musical side and the grapes for the area in which we live contributed to my selection.
By the way, if any of my fellow bloggers recognize the source of this card idea, please feel free to take credit by commenting. I feel badly that I don't always know whose work I might CASE when checking out other posts.
