Versatility

Image
I have a class coming up on Thursday in which I am featuring designer series paper. I have made samples using the same elements in two different ways. This is the first one I designed, although I'm changing the ribbon from the Pear Pizzazz to Poppy Parade and the ink from Early Espresso to Poppy Parade, as I used on the second card. But this gives my guests two ideas using the same elements. This butterfly uses the reverse side of the dsp for the two layers. I love the way they turned out, but really wish I had used the Poppy Parade ribbon on the first one. But my class attendees will. Products Used: Pear Pizzazz Card Stock, 119795, $6.95, 24 sheets, 8-1/2" x 11" Poppy Parade Card Stock, 119793, $6.95 24 sheets, 8-1/2" x 11" Greenhouse Gala Designer Series Paper, 117167, $9.95, 12 double-sided sheets, 12" x 12" Patterns Designer Series Paper Stack, In Color, 117158, $19.95, 40 double-sided sheets, 12" x 12" Poppy Parade 1/2" Stitched-Pol

So Distracted!

Why is it so hard to clean up my stamping area? All those little pieces of paper and what-not are just begging to be put to use! I had the pack of Ice Cream Parlor Designer Series Paper and sticker sitting out as well as remnants of items and just had to use them. The card below has no stamping on it--I merely used stickers and ribbon on my Whisper White card stock. This card utilized one of those pieces of dsp plus stickers. The only stamping is the True Friend circular stamp from Punch Bunch stamp set in the Sale-a-Bration catalog. But I like this card the best of the three. It's more leftovers plus a button and a scrap of ribbon. The flower is made with the Fun Flowers Die for the Big Shot. Products: Punch Bunch stamp set, C 123211, W 121847, free from Sale-a-Bration with purchase of $50 Pacific Point Classic Stampin' Pad, 111837, $5.95 Whisper White card stock, 100730, $8.50, 40 sheets, 8-1/2" x 11" Daffodil Delight card stock, 119683, $6.95, 24 sheets, 8-1/2&quo

More Ice Cream Parlor

Image
Sale-a-Bration is almost over! Just one week left! I have to admit that I have purchased enough product that I have everything in the Sale-a-Bration catalog, including three Ice Cream Parlor Designer Series Paper & Quick Accents Pack and the coordinating ribbon and buttons. And to think that all those products cost me absolutely nothing--they were free with every $50 I spent. This card is made with Peach Parfait and Pacific Point card stocks, Peach Parfait 1/2" Stitched-Poly Ribbon and the Ice Cream Parlor Ribbon from the Ribbon & Button Pack (also in the Sale-a-Bration catalog). There isn't a single stamp used on this card since the flower is made with the Fun Flowers Bigz L Die and the same designer series paper. I figure the card cost me less than $1 to make. Products Used: Peach Parfait Card Stock, 119794, $6.95, 24 sheets, 8-1/2" x 11" Pacific Point Card Stock, 111350, $6.95, 24 sheets, 8-1/2" x 11" Peach Parfait 1/2" Stitched-Poly Ribbon,

Sense of Time

Image
With some leftover card stock from a recent workshop, I put this card together using the Sense of Time stamp set and one stamp from the Sale-a-Bration Bliss stamp set, which you can barely see on the clock face. To "antique" this image, I sponged it with Crumb Cake ink, although I sponged the ribbon with Early Espresso ink to make it look aged as well. Products Used: Sense of Time stamp set, 113804, $22.95 Bliss stamp set, free with $50 purchase during Sale-a-Bration (ends March 31) Pear Pizzazz 1/2" Stitched-Poly Ribbon, 119265, $8.95, 15 yards Pear Pizzazz card stock, 119795, $6.95, 24 sheets, 8-1/2" x 11" Early Espresso card stock, 119686, $6.95, 24 sheets, 8-1/2" x 11" Crumb Cake card stock, 120953, $6.95, 24 sheets, 8-1/2" x 11" Early Espresso Classic Stampin' Pad, 119670, $5.95 Crumb Cake Classic Stampin' Pad, 121030, $5.95 Antique Brads, 117273, $5.95, 20 brads, 5 designs Cutter Kit (distressing tool for edges), 106958, $16.95

"Just Believe" Stamp Set

Image
This is one of the cards we made at Christy's workshop last night. The fun thing about it was that several people used their imaginations and reworked the same items on the card to make it just a little different. We even had children stamping and they showed their creativity as well. How fun to pass on the joy of stamping! Congratulations Cards

I tend to think of myself as little more than a hobby demonstrator. I don't put a whole lot of time into scheduling workshops, although I do hold classes in my home. Once I got addicted to stamping, I realized I needed to find a way to support my habit. Thus began my venture as a Stampin' Up! demonstrator. In spite of that attitude as a demonstrator (or maybe because I need so much in order to support my habit), I have frequently managed to place in the top 10 for sales in our team of demonstrators, the Heartfelt Stampers. Each time I do, I receive a wonderful card from my upline, Aly Schilling. Since I haven't posted them in a while, I have three to share with you today. The first one was for placing 6th in November, which is also the month my first and only recruit signed up to become a demonstrator under me. I don't think I held any classes or workshops in December, but January sales put me in the top 10 once again. Designer Series paper, rhinestones, Hodgepodge Hard

Pleasant surprise!

I am so humbled and so appreciative of the two fellow stamping bloggers who recently presented me with the Stylish blogger award! Many thanks to Patty Braun and Christina Dowty. What a delightful surprise. As a recipient of this award, here is what I have to do: 1) Thank the person who gave this award to me and link it back to her blog 2) Share 8 things about myself 3) Pass this award to 8 other individuals whose blogs I have recently discovered 4) Leave a comment so they can pass along the recognition So here are eight things about myself: 1) I have a very strong faith in God that affects my daily living. 2) My family makes my life complete -- my sweet husband of almost 42 years, two grown and married daughters plus their hubbies, one grown, single son, two grandsons and one granddaughter. And I can't forget my baby sister's family... 3) I'm a core leader in the Finger Lakes Community Bible Study. 4) I love chocolate way too much, especially milk chocolate! 5) I play the

Yes, I used the Build a Blossom stamp set. I even used the Blossom Petals Punch for the body, but the fins and tail had to be cut by hand. Isn't he cute? Such a quick and easy card!
