Bright Wishes Stamp Set

There are so many stamp sets in the new catalog that I would love to purchase. If I had tons of money, I'd order them all right now. But I'd never get around to playing with all of them if I did. When I ordered "Bright Wishes" I ordered it because I love the image, but then I thought about all the time it takes to color it in. So, in preparation for my June stamp class, I chose to stamp it in Basic Black Archival ink and then highlight areas with my White Stampin' Chalk Marker.

I love the results. I experimented using different color card stock, as you will see below. This one features the new In Color, Tranquil Tide. I do wish I hadn't tried to highlight the word "wish" with my chalk marker, something I won't try again.

The first card I designed using this stamp involved coloring. To achieve the vivid colors, I embossed the image first using some old black embossing powder and then colored with Stampin' Markers.
