More Team Valentines

I'm sharing two more cards designed by demonstrators on our Heartfelt Stampers team! The first one is by Kriss Huels, who took a simple design and made it pop with little extras, like the three different ribbons (Rose Red and Pretty in Pink 1/4" grosgrain and Chocolate Chip taffeta) tied around the narrow strip of Chocolate Chip card stock. Or the Dimensionals behind the Whisper White circle and two of the embossed hearts (White Embossing Powder on Chocolate Chip card stock, Love You Much stamp set, Heart to Heart punch). The verse on the bottom is from the Curvy Verses set. The card is Pretty in Pink with Rose Red designer series paper.

The second card was designed by Jacki Wrebel using the Love You Much stamp set. The torn card stock and the hearts peaking out of her scalloped edge pocket make this card unique. And, of course, we can't forget the embellishment cut with the Big Shot using the Swirls Scribbles Sizzlits Die. She also embossed the Real Red card stock with one of the Texturz Plates for the Big Shot from the Stampin' Up! Backgrounds 1 pack. This card is made with Real Red and Whisper White card stock and Real Red classic ink pad. Oh, can't forget the gold brad in the center of the flower rising from the "v" in "Love".

You Mean Everything to Me

As much as I prefer scanning my cards over photographing them, I find there are some disadvantages. My little banner that is stamped with "you mean everything to me" loses the 3D look as it gets flattened by the cover of the scanner. Kyla and I were just playing around with ideas while she was visiting (did I mention, she's my new recruit?) and this was one of the cards I designed. Gathering the ribbon slightly, cutting out the heart image and folding and trimming the "banner" across the heart meant a little extra fussing, but I really like the result. When I was all finished with the card, I decided to add a little sparkle by spraying it with a mixture of Champagne Shimmer Paint and rubbing alcohol. If you look closely, you can see some of the sparkle that added to the card, including the ribbon. When you actually hold it in your hands, you can see the glittery shimmer much more easily. More Quilt Cards

The Christmas Quilt bundle has so much versatility! I'm still using the Blooms & Bliss designer paper from last year's catalog as I design these cards. Today's post uses different designs from the pack from Saturday's post. Once again you can see the variety acquired using the same papers. The greetings on both these cards, as on so many others, come from the Best Birds stamp set. Easter Daffodils

"You're Inspiring" stamp set is perfect for Easter or Mother's Day or sympathy or almost any occasion. With Easter approaching, that holiday was the obvious choice. This card uses two Sale-a-Bration items as well as the "You're Inspiring" stamp set from the Occasions Catalog: the Basket Weave embossing folder and the Springtime Foils Specialty dsp. And of course I used the Stampin' Blends! I'm wondering if I'll ever use my markers, now that I have experienced the 3D effects of our blends that also allow me to color with no streaks. Unless you have the Springtime Foils dsp, you may not realize that the leaves on this sheet are not green.  You can color this glossy paper with metallic designs using your Stampin' Blends, which is what I did here.
