Too Stinkin' Cute!

Can it really be a month since I posted? A lot has been going on here, between holidays and medical needs and Christmas bazaar preparations and knitting mermaid blankets for three little girls (two granddaughters and one niece). But I made this card a while ago and sent it off to a friend back in Ohio who went in for a colonoscopy and ended up having her colon removed. What a shock for her! I also made an envelope to match but wonder if its busyness was a problem for the post office...

The card makes me think of a composition notebook. I used the on a Basic Black card, which of course had to be lined in order to write my message, although I have sometimes used a white gel pen on dark cardstock.

The skunk is created using the Foxy Friends stamp set and its coordinating Fox Builder Punch. Isn't he cute? I think I like him even more than the fox that the stamp was intended for! I think you can see even from this picture that his head is lifted with Stampin' Dimensionals. The touches of red add just the right amount of color to brighten up the card.
