Gate Anniversary Card

Image
When my daughter saw this piece of designer series paper, she kept saying how much she liked it. By then it had already retired (last year's holiday mini catalog) and I had given a piece to my granddaughter to use. So I just had to incorporate it into their anniversary card. The card is 5¼" square but folded so it opens in the middle. I used our Hearts Collection Framelits to cut the overlapping hearts, which hold the card closed. This stamp from the Day of Gratitude stamp set coordinates very well with the dsp. Products Used: Day of Gratitude stamp set (7), W 120835, $26.95; C 121148, $18.95 Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set (24), W 115370, $36.95; C 127802, $26.95 Pool Party 8½" x 11" card stock (24), 122924, $6.95 Very Vanilla 8½" x 11" card stock (40), 101650, $8.50 Spice Cake 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper, discontinued Pool Party Classic Stampin' Pad, 126982 Early Espresso Classic Stampin' Pad, 126974, $5.95 Small Heart punch, 117193, $5

Simply Sweet

Saturday, I was supposed to lead a card-of-the-month club at a nearby library, but there were so many community activities over the weekend, the librarian decided to cancel. I had prepared this incredibly simple card for the first session with the plan to pass out surveys to determine what card-makers were interested in and what kind of experience they had. Since it didn't happen, and since I'd rather do a fall/Thanksgiving card for October, I sold the pre-cuts to a customer. She's planning to make up the whole set of 10 to give as a Christmas gift. The ribbon and designer series paper are both retired. Since I can't sell my products at a library class, I decided this was the perfect place to use up some of those extra but beautiful supplies I have stockpiled. They still serve as a great example of the quality of our products as well as the way they coordinate. Plus, it's a versatile enough design that you could easily duplicate it with a different piece of dsp and

For our Anniversary

We celebrated our 43rd anniversary last week and, of course, I had to make a card for my husband. I fear the bulkiness of this knotted ribbon made it difficult to scan the card without it laying crookedly in the scanner, but you get the idea. Sometimes I write poems for my cards, but I just wasn't verbally creative so I googled anniversary verses for the inside. I struggled, though, because some sites were rather raunchy, but I finally found an appropriate and very sweet verse. I am finding the "You are Loved" stamp set very versatile, from Valentine's Day to anniversaries to whatever! I colored this stamp with Midnight Muse, Cajun Craze and Summer Starfruit Stampin' Write Markers. Products Used: You Are Loved stamp set (7), W 123777, $31.95; C 123779, $23.95 Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set (24), W 115370, $36.95; C 127802, $26.95 Very Vanilla 8½" x 11" card stock (40), 101650, $8.50 Cajun Craze 8½" x 11" card stock (24), 119684, $6.95 Midnight Mus
