Love Doesn't Melt

Another Valentine—or it could even be an anniversary card! I love these little snowmen from the Merry Winter stamp set! The set is so versatile and could be used all winter long!

I used the new Edgelit Die in the Occasions Mini Catalog because I thought the scalloped scallops reminded me of snowballs. Such fun! I photographed rather than scanned this card because of the 3-D portion, but the camera (or the lighting) distorted the Pink Pirouette in the lacy rosette. I saw this snowflakey (is that a coined word?) rosette that I saw in my demonstrator's Stampin' Success magazine and had to use it in my design. The directions were to punch a 6-inch piece of card stock with the Lace Ribbon Border Punch and then score it every quarter inch. However, I found it much easier to score the card stock first and then punch. I also found it difficult pull together the ends of such a short piece and lengthened mine to about 8 inches. The little heart on which "love doesn't melt" is stamped was cut with the smallest heart framelit from the Hearts Collection.

By the way, this is one of the cards we made at my Valentine Class.
