Great Backgrounds

Here are some more cards made at our Oktoberfest class on using background stamps. For the card below, Hello, Doily was embossed with White Embossing Powder. I then sponged with Wonder Wisteria Classic ink over and around the image to make it stand out. Other stamp sets used to make this card are: Delicate Doilies, Borderlines and Tiny Tags. The colors used are Cherry Cobbler, Pretty in Pink and Wonder Wisteria.

The Tool Shed background stamp was used for this card. We simply stamped it with Early Espresso ink and then sponged over it with More Mustard. We also used our White Gel Pen to bring out the highlights on this stamp. The wrench was embossed with Silver Stampin' Emboss Powder and cut out. The greeting is from the Perfectly Penned stamp set.

With Early Espresso Classic Stampin' Pad, we used the En Français background stamp on Whisper White card stock. We then sponged sections of the card stock with Lucky Limeade, Peach Parfait and Poppy Parade classic inks. Over all that, with Versa Mark ink, we stamped the Sweet Floral background stamp, sprinkled it with Clear Stampin' Emboss Powder. Finally, we brayered Early Espresso over the entire piece of card stock and wiped it off the clear embossing, allowing the colors and French below to show through. Embellish with an Antique Brad and some Lucky Limeade Ruffled Ribbon. Finish it off with a stamped image from the Four Frames stamp set. That stamped image was then colored with markers before being punched out with the coordinating Decorative Label Punch. I'll stamp a greeting when I decide what I want to use the card for.
