Three Elements of Style

Once again I'm working in threes! I wanted to play around with the Elements of Style stamp set in anticipation of spring and summer. Right now the wind is blowing and the snow is almost melted and I'm ready for winter to step aside and let spring shine through! This morning I happened across an "avalanche" (for want of a better word). I was thankful I was heading north on Route 332 because if I'd been in the southbound lane, I would have had to drive through the muddy median like the other cars were. I would have feared getting stuck in the mud! Anyway, in the process of melting, the snow on the bank along the side of the road slid off and into the southbound lanes. Too deep for anyone to try "plowing" through!

Anyway, using in colors and soft suede, these are the cards I came up with. The first one consists of just one half sheet of card stock—no layers, no embellishments. I stamped the image with Soft Suede ink on the Blushing Bride card stock after running it through the Big Shot with the Framed Tulips Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I added depth with Blushing Bride and Pear Pizzazz Stampin' Write Markers. Voilá! So simple. Finally, I brushed my inked sponge across the embossing, a technique I liked enough to use again on the next card.

This time, I decided to make my card Pear Pizzazz since I was using the coordinating marker. It provides a nice frame for the textured portion of the card. I proceeded the same as in the previous card except that I omitted the words and tied a ribbon around the card stock before fastening it to the card front.

This one is totally different. There is a Whisper White card framing this Concord Crush embossed frame. I cut the oval a die for the Big Shot and then stamped a portion of the image on that piece of card stock. No coloring this time. A piece of designer paper behind it and a ribbon around it, all in coordinating Concord Crush elements. I think this one is especially classy!
