Decorative Decorations

When designing cards for my Holiday Card Class, I wanted a card with designer series paper and the Magnetic Movers and Shapers die. This is the result:

Using my Anywhere Glue Stick, I adhered a piece of Deck the Halls Designer Series Paper to the front of my Old Olive Card Stock before running it through the Big Shot Die Cutting Machine. The designer paper had to line up with the 5-1/2 inch mark. I then laid that sheet on the die with the designer paper face down. The punched-out piece decorates the plain portion of the card.

The "Joy" ornament from the Definitely Decorative stamp set was stamped on Very Vanilla Card Stock with coordinating Cherry Cobbler Classic Ink and punched it out with the Ornament punch. The punch is just enough smaller than the opening cut with the die that it pops up nicely when mounted with Stampin' Dimensionals. I used the greeting and verse from A Cardinal Christmas stamp set. To finish the card off, I tied a simple knot with Chantilly Crochet Trim through the opening made with the ornament die.
