Cardinal Christmas

I had some pre-cuts left over from my summer workshops and decided to make one set into a Christmas card using only "A Cardinal Christmas" stamp set.

For this card, I colored the stamps themselves with markers, using Garden Green and Cherry Cobbler. The cardinal was mostly colored in Basic Black before stamping. I then added the color with Cherry Cobbler and More Mustard Stampin' Write Markers. After coloring the holly branch stamp with the markers, I cut it out and added it to the card extending beyond the Very Vanilla card stock. The vivid embellishment enhanced the bold coloring of the cardinal.

Using the Vintage Wallpaper Textured ImpressionsEmbossing Folder adds a touch of elegance to this card, as does the Modern Label punch (if you've been following my blog, you've probably noticed how much I've come to love this particular punch).
