Graduation Cap?

How often have you found yourself in need of a card for which you don't have any appropriate stamps? That's the perfect time to think outside the box, which is what Aly Schilling did when she designed and taught this card to our demonstrator team.

Using the Big Shot and the Scallop Square Bigz Clear Die, we cut through two layers of Real Red card stock. We then frayed a piece of Basic Black 5/8" Satin Ribbon by cutting off the two selvage edges to within 1/2" from the end. We attached that with a 5/8" Jumbo Brad. Be sure to do that before constructing the rest of the card.

The inside is a piece of 12x4" Whisper White card stock scored at 4", 6" and 8". The Word Window punch was used to make an opening for a gift card, check or money by punching twice. The fold is adhered down the sides only (leave room for that gift card); the two remaining 4x4" squares are fastened to the back sides of the Real Red Scallop Squares. The one stamp used for the greeting comes from the Summer Mini Catalog.
