From Scraps to Design

After using the flocked snowflake sheet of Christmas Cocoa Specialty Designer Series Paper (116770, $11.95) for my Shimmery Snowflake picture (see older post), I had a narrow strip left that just had to be used. So I grabbed my eyelet border punch (113692, $15.95) and Whisper White card stock (100730, $7.50) to create a border on both edges. The card is a 6"x6" piece of Soft Suede card stock (115318, $$5.50) and the ribbon coordinates with that (Soft Suede Polka-Dot Grosgrain, 115612, $9.95). To provide a colorful accent, the "Merry Christmas" (A Cardinal Christmas stamp set, 111760, $23.95) was stamped in red on another scrap of the dsp, punched with the oval scallop punch (114889, $15.95) and mounted on Real Red wide oval (punch 112082, $15.95; card stock 102482, $5.50). I thought about making it a birthday card since there are so many winter birthdays...
