A Touch of Elegance

Last fall I designed a card using the ballerina inside a snow globe. A friend decided she wanted to learn how to make that card, but our schedules never matched up. She ordered the stamp set and then came to one of my classes, a class where, for the first time ever, I featured a retired stamp set just so she could learn how to make the card.

Once again, I had extra pre-cuts available and so I gave the card an entirely new look. I've had fun playing with the Rose Wonder stamp set and coordinating Thinlits Dies. Of course, the Elegant Eggplant grosgrain ribbon is discontinued...

To make this card, I cut the rose and stem from the 3¾" x 5" Pink Pirouette cardstock and from Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper. I adhered the open piece of Pink Pirouette CS over the 4" x 5¼" Elegant Eggplant CS, wrapped the ribbon around that and added the layered greeting using Stampin' Dimensionals. I then inserted the pieces cut from the Glimmer Paper (I now have the Pink Pirouette pieces to add to another design). Three rhinestones finished off the card with a little more bling.
