You're How Old?

Easter and my husband's birthday have both been celebrated. My son has returned to Cedarville OH after a week's visit. And the income taxes have been e-filed. Phew!

This card is the one I made for my husband's birthday, which fell on Easter this year. Picking up the colors in the Just Eat Cake Designer Series Paper, I used Stampin' Write Markers to color the greeting from the Delightful Dozen stamp set and used that as the focal point on my card. I'm so glad that stamp set didn't make the list of sets being discontinued in the new catalog, which comes out June 1st. Those colors were Peach Parfait, Baja Breeze, Wild Wasabi and So Saffron. The Peach Parfait Stampin' Write Marker is only available in the set containing five 2010-2012 In Colors; The others can be purchased as part of a set of Subtles or they can be purchased individually.

I have to admit that I am trying to use as much of the dsp from this year's catalog as possible because I always have so much left over from year to year! Granted, I can use it for scrapbooks, but I'm way behind in that area. I tend to make more cards than scrapbook pages...
